Bomberman

For those of you who have not played Bomberman on other platforms the rules are easy! Lay bombs to destroy baddies and blast your way through each level in as short a time possible to get the highest score. Simple and addictive game play which has kept Bomberman going now for almost 25 years since it was originally released for the ZX Spectrum way back in 1983.

To help you on your way there a three power ups you can collect. Fire Up increases the range of your bombs by one block, Bomb Up, increases the number of bombs you can lay simultaneously by one and Speed up which will increase your speed. In addition Life Up is an extra life.

Since there have been so many different versions of Bomberman over the years it is difficult to say which one this most closely relates to. Features such as Bomb Kicking do not appear in this version although the addition of three mini games accessed at the end of each stage, are a welcome treat and break up the game play nicely.

The mini games can be accessed via Challenge Mode as can all the levels once you have completed them.

All in all Bomberman makes for a good iPod Game but nothing to really shout about.

Not everyone will consider this worth the price tag, not everyone will like the game. But, if you enjoy the likes of Vortex, Cubis and Pac-Man we reckon you will enjoy this.
