Texas Hold'em

If you like Poker you will love this. And if you have not played poker before this is well worth a look.

Designed by Apple this game knocks the socks of any online poker game you may have played in the past. It has far superior graphics with photo-realistic images of the players which really add to the enjoyment of the game. The subtle lounge-bar music made me want to kick back, crack open the Jack and get down to some serious bluffing!

The game comes with a tutorial for those that have not played previously and has a range of levels and different sized tournaments with a top prize of $2Million. Not real money of course... shame.

Different opponents help keep the game fresh and there are some amusing facial expressions not least performed by Ted who looks particularly smug at times. Thankfully I managed to wipe the smug look of his face when I took $1200 off him before going onto the next round... see you later Ted!

Being able to save the game is a must for an application such as this and a welcome sight. In addition you can also call up your stats for the last tournament you played along with your all-time highs!

I can't really knock this at all... if you made me I would say that the worst thing would be the shirt that the opponent Matt is wearing... it really is very, very bad. Even if you don't like card games such as Solitaire I would still say that Texas Hold'em for iPod is different enough to make this worth a look.
