Burning Tires

Description

Burning Tires is an off-road 3D racing game which serves up a huge slice of racing fun and shares more than just a few similarities with the daddy of all off-the-wall racing games, Super Mario Kart.

To start with the game doesn't keep a particularly firm grip on reality, it isn't a zany as Super Mario Kart although at the same time, this isn't Gran Turismo or Coin McRae. Race tracks such as "Volcanic Inferno" and "Icy Frostshock" have a familiar feel about them as unlikely candidates for any real 4x4 rally. There aren't any power ups or weaponry, this game is purely about racing.

Controlling your vehicle is simple, especially is you opt for the "Auto Gas" function where your only concern becomes steering as the accelerator and brake are taken care of. This however makes the game far less competitive and so I'd recommend you challenge yourself to turn this feature off. The handling of the vehicles is good and each one has slightly different characteristics.

You start with just one vehicle you can use to race although there are six more, pimped-up and chunky 4x4's which you can unlock as you progress through the various tournaments. There are 4 Tournaments "Raw Rumble", "Mad Mayhem", "Insanity Run" and "Clash of the Titans" although you will need to get Gold in one before unlocking the next.

The Graphics are just superb. Really smooth and well rendered, after each race you will get an action replay from various perspectives along the course.

Maybe this isn't a game that you will be playing in months to come, but if you are looking for a free mobile game to remove some boredom for a few hours, this will certainly do the job!
