Lego Bricks

Description

To put it simply, Lego Bricks is Tetris, with a twist of Lego. So, how does the easy-to-swallow plastic childhood toy mix with this old school arcade game?

Well, there are a few changes to Tetris to excite new interest in the old format and add an extra layer of complexity. Firstly there is only one shape (a simple line of three bricks) compared to the seven shapes in Tetris. Shapes can be rotated and positioned wherever you see fit with each line containing up to three colours of brick. The idea here is not to make rows but to make either a horizontal or vertical line of three identically coloured bricks for them to disappear.

There are two features included, ice bricks and danger bricks which add a little more fun to the game play.

Ice bricks create a line across the screen that stops bricks hitting the bottom and therefore increase the chance of the bricks building up to the top and game over. You can however reduce their effect by positioning them as low as possible and they are only one brick wide not the usual three-in-a-row. Ice bricks do eventually melt away but take a while so be on the alert.

The idea of danger bricks is a bit opposite; these are contained within a normal line and have an explosive personality. These bricks sit around and explode without warning destroying every brick in a horizontal or vertical direction from it. This can either be extremely useful or frustrating depending on how well you are doing at the time.

If you liked Tetris the first time you played it then you should like this, If you have escaped Tetris so far then be ready for some extremely adictive game play.
