World's Best-Selling Travel Guides come to iPhone and iPod Touch
Coolgorilla have today announced the release of 10 travel guides for iPhone and iPod Touch which they have developed for the world’s best-selling travel publisher, Dorling Kindersley.
You'll probably already recognise DK’s “Top 10” travel guides in their paperback format, they are amongst the most graphical travel guides and packed full of useful, accurate and well-structured information guaranteed to help you get the very most out of hard-earned vacation.
Now the acclaimed guides have received the iPhone treatment and are now available on the App Store. Bangkok, Barcelona, Cancun, Dubai, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris and Rome are the first of 50 guides which shall be made available over the coming year.
Each app contains the entire content of the paperback versions all of which is contained within the downloaded app. This means you can use the app whilst abroad without needing an internet connection and even use it whilst flying to your holiday destination! The only time you’ll need an internet connection is if you want to make use of the handy Currency Converter which provides up-to-minute currency conversions.
Additional features also include a variety of off-line maps, a bookmarks section so you can make your own Top 10 lists, a search feature along with telephone and web links.

Talking Japanese Phrasebook
Following the success of the six lastminute.com Talking Phrasebooks for iPhone, Coolgorilla have now added a Japanese flavour which is now available to download on the App Store.
The Talking Japanese Phrasebook has some improvements such as a search feature and also includes a wider range of phrases.

London gets the iPhone Treatment
Coolgorilla today launched their London Travel Guide for iPhone, billed as the world's most sophisticated and advanced travel guide it sports an impressive array of useful features.
The London Travel Guide neatly packs a host of impressive features such as ground and aerial video footage, embedded maps and touch-to-dial telephone links, together with a 200 page travel guide in one, easy-to-use download.
Available from Apple's iTunes and App Store portals, the guide is travel friendly in every aspect. For example, the guide doesn't require an internet connection which means that users can access the guide whilst on London’s underground system or when travelling to London by air.
